i'm glad you have a big space. i pictured you in a studio. you must have gotten a great deal. i lived in a studio once, but the kitchen was separate and there was a little dining room. i was glad for the space. of course in the main room i had my bed. it was $325 and that was nearly 20 years ago. it was on newport and clark/sheffied, just south of the addison el.

where will you get the little guy? are there no kill shelters for ferrets? we got our cats at the no kill shelter, tree house. where will you take him to the vet?

The building/apartment itself is a bit 60s/70s ugly and definitely has quirks, so I think that's why I pay a similar price to a nicer studio (875) but it includes heat/water. Most apartments around here that are similar in size would be 1200-ish+.

I'm not sure about where I will end up getting him. There is a rescue/shelter, but it's in the burbs. Looking through pet finder and craigs list as well. Pet store as a last choice.

Zim came from Treehouse as well. He even had a photo in their newsletter the year we adopted him. As for the Vet most regular vets can handle them I'm sure there are a ton of local ones here.
