Advice please

Has anyone been to Malta? I know there is architecture and sunshine and English spoke, but that's about all.
I want a nice week long holiday. How hot will it be in the middle of September? Will we be lynched for being (not very obviously) queer? Where are the best places to stay? As vegetarians will we get anything to eat other than omelettes?

Just a bit warm for the middle-aged, or too outrageously hot for anyone but a cricket?

Most things i find a bit too warm anyway. I mean London was too hot for me last night. Now it's raining so thats ok. But i like it all the time. However, Malta, ? Are you going on an 18-30 holiday?

Yes, I am going to drink Heineken and throw up whilst mooning from my hotel balcony.
Some friends of ours went there and had a nice cultured time, but that was 20 years ago so I wnted to know what it's like now.

You could ask trauma_pet these questions nicely, she's a fiercely patriotic (and very nice) Maltese lady.

Yes, they are not nicely phrased enough to ask a Maltese person are they. I get tired of jokey comments about sheep and rain when it comes to Wales.

I think they're phrased delightfully. Sheep and rain are better than handguns and nail salons (Peckham).

According to www.weatherunderground.com, the weather in Malta is mid to high 20's at the moment.

I'm sure the Maltese will be very nice to you if you promise to block vote for them next Eurovision. I once read a fascinating piece which stated that 98% of the population tune in patriotically every year, which is marvellous. :-)
