I went to Goodwill and found this solid wood stand-type-thing on rollers. It was dinged up and dry and dusty but it was $20 so I brought it home, because I've wanted a taller, more awesome TV stand for awhile now. Here's the before pic:
And here's what it looks like after I rubbed it down with some Old English:
And because I'm spamming, here's a pic of me and Dinah:
Gah, I'm pale. And Dinah's sitting on her back legs there, which is something she does all the time. It might look like I'm holding her up, but I'm not.
And finally, here's the mini-stargates I made a few weeks ago in honor of SG-1's final episode:
That's a sponge cake cup, a vanilla mousse colored with blue food coloring for the event horizon, Reddi-Whip around the edges for the stargate itself, and slices of strawberries for the chevrons. They were v. tasty :)
