Yep, my old college crush; I was crestfallen to learn of his death when I Googled him some years ago. (Although mismanagement and the hazards of the rock-and-roll lifestyle played obvious roles, I think a lot of Ron's misfortune may have lain in bad timing--he came along too late for the heyday of old-school glam rock, but too early for the ubiquity of YouTube.)

(I chose the Trillionaires' rendition of "Criminal World" because I consider their stark prowling tango arrangement better than either the original by Metro or David Bowie's cover--and I keep hoping that performance footage will surface online to back me up.)
