I am having some sort of post-sickness relapse where I've been gagging on medication and throwing up, then coughing for twenty minutes -- I don't know what it is but it sucks. I fell asleep to the television and woke up groggily through an hour+ of "male enhancement supplement" infomercials, which was totally giving me nightmares. Now I can't sleep ( Read more... )

This totally makes me want to go out and buy a modern gaming system (still stuck with my PS2, sigh.) I love Warcraft III so League of Legends looks great (Hmm, maybe I should just pull out Warcraft III again and get DoTA, much better than dropping a wad of cash on a new system!)

Bayonetta looks hilariously absurd. Rage looks like fun. APB does seem kinda dull - could've been so much better if the world were persistent - but it could be entertaining. I could see myself regularly playing against friends. OMG, Dante's Inferno, WTF. Brütal Legend looks like pure brilliant fun. My friend Rigo's gonna love that one.

And I am very excited about Beatles: Rock Band, because I fucking LOVE the Beatles and already know how to sing many of John's harmonies. Guess that means folks will need to buy more mics? Or will everyone gather around one? Also, you said that the existing 3 Beatles + Yoko were in on it - but only 2 Beatles (Paul and Ringo) are still alive. Was this in the works before George died in 2001?

Two more things:

1) Quickfire question: let's say I did decide to drop a wad of cash on a new system. Should it be the XBOX 360 or the PS3? Why?

2) Only 25 tracks from Beatles: Rock Band have been revealed, but there will be 45 total on the core disk and more downloadable. So let's hope for more White Album! Come on, they HAVE to include "Helter Skelter"! I'd also appreciate "Happiness is a Warm Gun" and "I'm Only Sleeping."

Oops, major brain-fart on the Beatles. It's Paul, Ringo, Yoko, and I believe Olivia Harrison who were doing the approvals ( ... )

And for those of us who DO have the overpriced slab of Sony, I hear Demon's Souls is quite the 'core game.
