Priorities?

There's seems to be a point in most peoples lives where they have to decide what their priorities are. I see quite a few of my peers hitting this stage, and it's like some one hits the slow motion feature on their lives. Why? Well, the transition point is key, and its also very hard to make. Just read this today, and I'm so glad I did. I'm definitely in the slow-motion phase right now...I thought I was going to graduate school, but I've been turned down by 3 of my 4 schools, and I'm still waiting for a fourth. Slow-motion. But your words of wisdom were ones I needed to hear, so thank you for posting them.

I agree with Ms. geek84.

So much of high school life is spent in a sprint toward college, and my personal college career was heavily geared toward a sprint for a job. I can definitely say I couldn't have done many of the amazing things in my life without my college education, but still... The moments when you can slow down and take stock are precious to say the least. My art major allowed me to do that from time to time.

Now that I'm graduated I'm not just living in that slowed-down in between state, I'm searching out points of slow motion to carry on into my daily routines once things "pick up." That's when they'll matter the most.
