just going with the flow. originally written from my ipod, so formatting might be a little...off.

this is a love letter;Tap tap tap the rhythm on the tabletop is like a metronome, singular and constant, earning nothing but a twitch of a lip and a rising brow from the man across the table from him. They've been sitting in this cafe for over an hour without saying a word to one another and the only interaction between them were subtle looks and beneath the table, small nudges between boots and high-tops. This was normal (or something like it), and he wondered if this is the kind of "normal" the other wanted.
Who they were separately often derailed who they wanted to be together, and who they were together were two simple people who couldn't (no matter how hard they tried) over-complicate what they had. This was simple, and unconventional to them, and it was easier to fall into than he originally thought and more times than he would admit, he wondered how things could be this fucking simple for him to accept. He supposed he accepted it a long time ago and just didn't realize it.

Tap tap tap and he only stopped when that tiny little smile turned sharp enough to be vicious and he knew he was in trouble. he felt the kicked to his shin a second later and bit back a groan, instead smiling through the grimace on his face; he deserve that one. he was fidgeting again. antsy, impatient, he needed a break from this pattern.

Across from him, the younger man stood up and walked by him, briefly patting his shoulder before disappearing further into the cafe toward the restroom. his gaze dropped to his phone on the table, his half-finished coffee. He grabbed one, finished the other, and crushed the cup to drop in a trashcan as he passed it. The moment he stepped inside the bright, tiled room, he was dragged inside and the door slid shut behind him, forgotten. The grin on his face was wild, the mischief reflecting in those eyes was always a treat to provoke, and the handicap stall was their new secluded playground.

Kisses, wet and hungry and unhindered by a need to save face in public. Hands all over, everywhere, in his hair, tugging at his jacket, his shirt, at last hooking around his neck as that slender, petit body meshed with his. every action reciprocated, every kiss met with equal hunger (reaction/action/chemistry). All this want and lust, pieced and glued together by something a little like love and a lot like affection, and fairly reminiscent of pure need. It's over all too quick for both of them and they're fixing themselves, and each other; those wildcats tamed for now, until the next time the cages called bodies can't hold them any longer. Smiles, knowing and silly, plastered to their faces and he steals one last kiss before they emerge and make their escape.

It's that simple and it's that easy. He's only being ridiculous when he tries to claw deeper and examine exactly what this is. he's just selfish and wanting, like every other human being, even if he has a hard time finding his inner humanity to show it. He's silent with his thanks and he shows it with smiles and kisses and touches given to the only person he considers his other half.

"I've been gone so long..."

"You're being ridiculous."

"What?"

"All this time... it's only made me want you more."

"I-- oh." and then, "I missed you, and still want you. Badly."

"I know."

It's really that easy to fall that hard for someone. Honestly, it's simple.
