I read things like this and really regret not going on that job interview some years back for human rights oversight of LGBT rights in sub-Saharan Africa.

well, whoever has that job has a daunting set of tasks to take on. i love that quote about speaking out for the marginalized...i used it in the whole ENDA debacle last year with the HRC defenders.

It's not too late... there is going to be a need in that arena for some time, I'm sure of that. Whoever got the job back then has probably moved on by now!

yeah that's true. well I think I've got to finish my phd and establish myself a bit in this arena before moving sideways into another one.
