i showed her these actual garfield comics that were printed in october of 1989. there are theories surrounding them that garfield is dead, but that's not what matters. it's just that i felt that these were some of the most depressing comics ever, especially considering that it's garfield. she saw nothing wrong with them and wanted me to explain to her what was so messed up about them.
