I've just read the whole cycle and these are some of the most lyrical, moving pieces I've read in this fandom. The seasons and the wheel of the year are so sensuously evoked. Just gorgeous! A joy to read.

HOW DO I LOVE THEE? LET ME COUNT THE WAYS:

1.) "John in the full race" is one of my favourite combinations of words I have ever heard, and I don't know why.

2.) Sherlock and John, Sherlock and John, Sherlock and John. Exactly as they should be.

3.)"Happy Birthday". (I may have burst into tears but don't tell anyone because I'll lose all my street cred)

4.) You took all the threads of the story and twisted it into a rope and used it to bind the two of them together.

5.)You express things exactly the way they should be expressed, the way everyone would express them if they could find the words.

6.) I just really liked it, okay?

I'm going to stop now, this is getting embarassing.

Oh wow. I really really loved this piece, I saw it when it was first posted but I bookmarked it so that I could read all four parts in their entirety. It's beautiful, poetic writing, really captures the uncertainty and insecurity and longing of a one-sided romance. And the happy Birthday murmured to the scar!! My heart just squeezed tight at that! :) Lovely lovely piece!
