meet Kate
Because Sheri posted some videos of Julian in only_human's journal, which were both enjoyable and enlightening, I thought I'd do the same for Kate. All these I just found on youtube; did not make any of them myself. So if you never watched LOST and you're curious, come on in and meet Kate.
This one is Kate and a bit of her darker side/past. [The stuff from about 2:10 on, getting back on a plane and what follows, have not happened to the Kate at the hotel; she's taken from canon prior to her return to the island.]
This one is someone's collection of their favorite Kate quotes/scenes. While I'd choose many different ones were I making my own favorites list, you can still get a good sense of the way she is, with a good mix of her humor and angst and everything in between. The first one is one of my all-time favorites.
Sawyer: I know your type.
Kate: I'm not so sure.
Sawyer: Yeah...I've been with girls like you.
Kate: Not girls exactly like me.
[Again, everything 2:40 and on has not happened to my Kate.]
This one is a kind of epic Kate video (9 minutes long) that spans a hell of a lot of the show. Unfortunately, it is very slanted towards one particular 'ship (something I don't appreciate in a video that claims to be a character study) and is therefore missing some of Kate's on-island story. But it's really well done and does give a pretty good overview of her, anyway. [Again, everything past 7:40 in this video does not apply to the Kate your character will meet at the hotel.]
