This is hilarious:
"You should get a hobby," I said seriously.
Brian smirked, tongue in cheek. "I have several."
"Hobbies that can be pursued outside of Babylon," I elaborated.
"I pursue men outside of Babylon all the time."
I love this chapter. I love Justin showing up at the loft and Brian opening the door naked, and then pouting when he has to go put clothes on. I love how Justin KNOWS Brian here, even though after they fuck Brian's brain keeps working and he sends Justin home so he can go out tricking.
I liked how Justin realized that for all Melanie bitches about Brian, she must respect him and like him on some level or he wouldn't have fathered her kid.

Witty dialog is my favorite thing. *g*
Lol. I really, really loved writing that whole sequence where Justin's over at the loft. I don't see him ever really moving in with Brian in this 'verse, but I think it's a preview for what life could be like, if things turn out okay.
I think that Melanie's respect for Brian really came through in the whole Kip fiasco, in canon, and I wanted to bring that out. They may not like each other, but they don't think each other fundamentally bad people.
Thanks for reading, and commenting, as always!

Oh Justin, you're too much of a good father for your own damn good...or brian's 'good' for that matter. What a pickle. can't wait to see how you resolve the Kip issue!
fabulous chapter!
