It certainly looks that way. Only the epilogue left, now!

just beautiful. So happy things are working out for Justin.
Luke and his walking is just insanely adorable.
So happy that Brian agreed to guardianship.
I want to give you and this story big hugs for being so awesome! :)

I suppose you could... print it out and hug the sheets of paper? Or you could embroider it onto a pillowcase, and then snuggle it on a pillow!

I'm just full of bright ideas today.

Thank you! This chapter is really just a happy chapter, and it was a joy to write--especially Luke walking! I can't believe we only have the epilogue left.

Also your icon is adorable. *g*

I soooo love this story. I'm gonna miss it when it's over.
I'll just have to re-read and re-read and re-read.......

I'm going to miss it, too--it's been a part of my life for so long, something will feel all empty and hollow inside without it...

Re-read it all you like! There definitely won't be sequels, so you'll have to just enjoy the story over and over again as it is.

I love how natural Brian and Justin are, I mean the pace you set for them, it feels realistic, and I love that Brian respects Justin as a father. I mean Brian has so many issues with the concept of fatherhood, that it's nice that he sees that Justin is different.

I have loved this story, I love your Justin so much and knowing that he's so focused on Luke and what he needs, it's just amazing to read.

I have no clue how this is going to end. I have my suspicions, but I can't wait for the last chapter, I hope all three of the boys end up happy, I think that's all I really want. If Brian and Justin are meant to be more than what they are now, then that's even better.

This is really the "deliverance" point of the story--Brian and Justin have finally arrived at where they're supposed to be. And after sixteen chapters of struggling to get there, it's a relief to be sure!

Suspicions? Oh, I'm curious to hear these suspicions! The epilogue will be posted on Saturday (holy shit, this story ends on Saturday, man that's weird to think about). I hope that it lives up to expectation!

First let me say you totally overestimate my ability to embroider :)

I see Brian and Justin as just being. I can sort of see maybe something deeper happening, but mostly I just see them building on what they have become, with the understanding that Luke will always come first, as it should be. Justin is in for a big change with going to school, and juggling fatherhood. Brian will change a bit to accommodate Justin and Luke, but I can see them together in some way. I think the best part of this story is how open the ending can be. It's really hard for me to see them as a family like Ben, Michael and Hunter became, but I do see them as family now... Laid back and totally just living life together... I am a bit of a sap over this story, the genuine relationship you built here is pretty great.

There is my long rambling suspicions.

Whatever your abilities to embroider, they far outrank my own (though I do braid a mean friendship bracelet with embroidery floss, which is a little bit similar).

You have it exactly. I don't see them living together for a long time (like, at least fifteen years), or possibly never, and it's never going to be a mad, passionate, consuming affair. But in some ways, it's better, because I don't see Justin pushing Brian as much and it would just be this... comfortable thing. Oh, and now you're making me want to write a sequel. Balls.

Suffice to say, you're right on the money when it comes to how I see their relationship progressing. Unfortunately, the epilogue takes place a lot sooner to the ending of this chapter than that. *g*

"Hey. If you're not going to give me a lap dance, move. I don't fucking cuddle."

I smirked and nestled a little closer. "You do now."

I LOVE those lines - LOL! This has been such a great story, my friend. I normally have been reading this over on MW but noticed you had updated it over here while I was on LJ. I will truly miss this story after it's over, but hopefully that will give you more time to write a new one.:)

I love your characterizations of both boys and how you have so delightfully portrayed Justin's son. Again, congrats on the accolades you have received both here and on MW. I noticed it took them a few days to award you a blue ribbon for the story after I asked them to consider it and now look - you've gotten another one on your other (completed) story! Way to go! I will be looking forward to some more stories from you about the boys (hopefully).~Kimberly

Lol. It's very "them", isn't it?

I can hardly believe that we only have the epilogue left--it feels like just yesterday that I sat down to write this mid January roadtrip, all excited and nervous to write for a new fandom... *sigh* This was so much fun to write, especially the J/B evolution, and Justin's relationship with Luke.

Also, I'm not sure if I did already, but thank you so much for nominating me for that first blue ribbon! It's an honor and a joy to see it there with my story, every time I go to add a new chapter. Thank you.
