Remember Play It Again? Possibly not, because IT’S BEEN A YEAR, but look! Here is a side-story from that universe! It’s only short. 'At least she doesn't have responsibility for Stiles' sums up so much here. Also, I love that Melissa has fresh audience for her ER stories, and the way duty into love is such a cyclic theme here, and for more than the Scott-Isaac friendship. Very, very nice - you write Melissa in a way that makes the competence and emotional stamina implied by her job (and her many years sticking with it) shine through, and her insights into the other characters (Stiles especially) crack me up when they don't make me want to weep a little.

I'm happy you liked my take on Melissa--nurses tend to be awesome people, and Melissa seems awesome even among nurses. Like, she's just SEEN IT ALL, and even her kid turning into a werewolf can only throw her off for so long. <3 Melissa.

This is marvelous. Love Isaac and a story about his life in the McCall household just makes my day. Reminds me that I need to get back to my own Isaac story.

Will have to find Play It Again. You're writing makes it mandatory.
