I often think about the quote “One of the deep secrets of life is that all that is really worth the doing is what we do for others.” and think I've somehow misunderstood it. The odd use of language aside, I would like to think myself a good person who is always willing to help anyone. Even when not asked I am always thinking of others over myself ( Read more... )

But the problem is many emotions--at least ones worth holding onto every last essence of--are irrational; the moment you try to rationalize them, you only find yourself either more lost or blind to them altogether.
