Once again, I have to rant.

I was reading a news article about College Republicans at University of Central Oklahoma organizing a Straight Pride Week on their campus.  Groups such as the Gay Alliance for Tolerance and Equality say that the College Republicans are attacking gay and lesbians.  Huh?  Maybe I don't get it, maybe it is the straightness

LOL! UCO!!! I was intent on going to school there before I graduated. Heck, I'm sure johanna3030 recalls our trip up there for scholarship try outs. This news doesn't surprise me. I mean, you know, its in the middle of Oklahoma, which is the buckle of the Bible belt. I think its a jab, on their part, at the gay community. This makes it slightly offensive to me. I don't understand the need for people to create these elusive clubs for people of different creeds/races/sexual orientations/etc. I wish schools would promote an environment that would foster a deeper understanding of other cultures and such, while at the same time emphasizing the fact that we are all the same and have a lot to share with one another. Of course, just for fun, I'm gonna blame the lack of such programs and organizations on those damn republicans!

I have no problem with gay people but you're right. Gay people have their days let straight people have them too. They're entitled to it.
