Good question. I don't like the idea of a bailout at all, but I'm also kind of nervous that it didn't pass. On principle it seems like a bad idea - help out banks that made really bad business choices. But if our economy is truly in danger of collapse, sometimes you have to suck it up and do what's best for the country.
Donald Trump seems to think we'll be fine without one. In fact he suggested that an upside to the plunging market is oil will drop dramatically. Forbes magazine was against a bailout too. But I think Warren Buffet said we really needed it. So I don't really know what to expect.
My gut tells me we'll weather the storm, but I don't understand the financial market enough to know all the implications.
