Universe after Universe layering out into the lives of so many others that just can’t seem to get a grip on the possibility of transcendence and enlightenment. If only they’d forget about the external appearances and shrug off the differences ( Read more... )

Yali was a New Guinean native who asked once, "Why is it that white people has loys of cargo [goods] that we want, and yet, we have none that they want?"

And the rest is history. It's all about how your location in the world can affect how your civilization develops, but can effect how you yourself act only to a limited extent, as there are other variables at play.

Sounds like strange racial qualms.

The situation is comparible (is that a word?) to many other racial situations. Kind of says something about the world. Yeah.

Did Yali go on to do great things? 0.0

I agree with Charlotte, to move on you need to accept and work through differences, not forget them. To forget them would be to try to escape them, and from my experiences, escapism just magnifies the problem (in the long run).

My first response is "yes!" but I think it's more complicated then that, I think that there is a reason for differences.. and i think I have to think about it some more.

Re: play, just call me (592-6686) and i'll tell you. If i'm not there leave your number and i'll call you back.

realizing that there are no differences would begin to solve problems.

science is philosophy and if we move into quantum physics, we're talking 11 dimensions and oscillations of pure energy. everything is beautiful and, indeed, the same on a sub-subatomic level.

or maybe Forgetting in general would solve problems.
but what problems are we talking about?

do they have to be exact problems?

i imagine the One True Solution could suffice for all problems, or at least a substantial amount of them.

One True Solution
we would be in eden then, wouldn't we? (or any other paradise setting)
& what would the world be with no opposites?
for existence is not mutually exclusive.

i talked to a random guy from afghanistan the other day. he told me the story of buddha.

everything is beautiful from above.
and you're tall
so bask
