How much did I love Jared’s pappa coming to him in his dreams to instruct him? There was much love in those scenes--it went straight to my heart. I also loved how in earlier parts of the story we could see just how deeply Jothbert cared for his family. His only fault was that he was too trusting, a part of Jared’s character that got destroyed by Omundson. (*shakes fist--spits*)
You go get'em Roxy, give that Omundson a whupin' he won't forget. Yes, poor Jothbert, his one big failing was that. He wanted so much for his people, he got completely taken advantage of. I like to think that him being able to meet Jared in his Change fever dreams was a gift from the gods for living an otherwise good life. Jared really did need that one last time with his father. *sobs*
