may i ask what coloring did you use to get the blue effect on the icons/banners? thanks in advance

I use Photoshop 7 and selective colouring and channel mixer is a good way to get a blueish effect. I'm making a tutorial for the crushcrushcrush icons, if that's the type of blue effect you're talking about, or if you want I can give you a few PSD files from the icons of your choice.

Usually just mess around with Selective Coloring in Photoshop. :]
