Leaning is hard, just don't unlearn it or you'll have to learn it all over again.
1. This reminds me that smelt is the past tense of smell for some people. To me it's a small fish and if that doesn't fit, to melt ore, so I brain says The room small fish of fish.
2. I did that once (In A Prodigal's Dilemma). I fought the character through three revisions and countless edits. And then I wrote the sequels from his Object of Affection's POV. It was so much easier. Maybe I should go back and rewrite the first story from the active POV.
5. I've been reading the archives of The Other Side of the Story. (http://blog.janicehardy.com/) She has lots of great tips for going into a deep POV (Stan strode into the room rather than Raven watched Stan walk into the room) and how to draw the reader in instead of push her away. It also has stuff on 3 (both for people that love to plot and those that hate to) and 4.
I already follow this blog because you talked about "real life diagnostic" once. It's really interesting. You're a great source for learning things, I love your journal for that ^^
