They're talking on the news about "The Choking Game". Dumb shit kids who intentionally strangle themselves for a brief euphoric feeling, usually killing themselves in the process. That anybody even came up with this idea in the first place is bad enough, but that it seems to be fairly popular among kids and teens just shows that there is no hope

Sounds just as dumb as the 'fainting game' or huffing glue...

Fainting - when they get down in a kneeling position, breathe rapidly in and out, then try to stand up as quickly as possible...
done 'right' it'll result in fainting.
Done wrong, it can result in nosebleeds, aneurysms, haemorraging in the brain, or death.
(That can of course also happen when done 'right' )

If you see a kid do something like this, feel free to give him a good kick to the head. It's the place where it'll do the least damage...

Oh, and these kinds of 'games' aren't new. I know kids were doing it when I was a kid, and that's a loooong time ago. I also doubt that any of those kids were bright enough to think it up themselves, so presumably, some older kids had tried it before them and survived.
