Thank you. Apparently I think much better when I've been ticked off. ^^;;

Thanks! I really couldn't manage to phrase it more succinctly and still manage to be polite...

"Stop being an ass" somehow doesn't have the same effect.

Yeah, I suppose the first rule of civil disagreements is to speak in a manner that won't stop them from listening to you.

*stands up and cheers*

You got that kind of reply too? Your reaction is so much more polite and coherent than mine...

Exactly! In fact, I think that he doesn't represent a majority of his constituency.

By definition, "Austerity" means rigor, strict, harsh. Congress would do well to apply these principles to the people who can afford to tighten their belts... not the ones who are already at financial skin and bones.

Sadly, he does represent the majority of those who went out and voted. Sigh.

"Let them eat cake" kind of applies here, doesn't it?

Sorry, but they're cutting food assistance funding, too.

Bravado, both for the replyvand for your restraint in not just tearing this guy a new one.

I don't know who angers me more - the Republicans for proposing this crap or the Democrats for agreeing to it.
