"This is ridiculous," she cried slamming yet another dresser drawer closed. She had been searching for nearly 45 minutes and her patience was wearing thin. And yes, she could have just worn something else, but she already had the perfect outfit picked out and if she wanted to be on time for her lunch date, she really had no choice, but to find the missing underwear.

"Okay," she breathed a deep sigh meant to calm her frazzled nerves, "not in the laundry, not in the hamper, not in the closet." Her eyes scanned every visible nook and crannie, she sighed again, and resumed her search.

Thirty minutes later...

She plopped down in the seat across from Ollie. "Sorry I'm late."

"No worries, Sidekick, but I am a little famished. Do you know what you want?"

She nodded affirmatively, and motioned to the waitress. A few minutes later they had placed their order.

"You look great, by the way."

"Thanks." She smiled nervously worrying her lower lip with her teeth. "It was just the first thing I found in my closet." Of course, it wasn't true, but he didn't need to know that. He also didn't need to know that she was currently "going commando" because she couldn't find her matching underwear...the only green pair of underwear she owned. She was most definitely making a trip to Victoria's Secret after this lunch - immediately after this lunch, in fact.

Their lunch arrived, and they ate in silence for the most part. She began to make a list of everything she intended to purchase that day, including underwear.

"Chloe," he snapped his fingers in front of her face, "Chloe?"

She blinked a few times, cursing herself for getting caught up in her train of thought. "Sorry, you were saying?"

"I was just wondering if you wanted to borrow my jacket home," he motioned outside, "since the rain is really coming down out there."

"That'd be great, but I'm not going straight home. I've got a few errands."

They were both quiet for a few moments. "Well, I don't really have much of anything going on today. How about I accompany you on your errands, and then I can take you home?"

She sputtered slightly, "Um...no that's okay. I don't know how long I'll be, and..." I don't really want you to come underwear shopping with me, she thought.

"That's okay. I don't mind...really." He cocked his head at her almost daring her to argue.

"Um...well...okay...If you insist." How am I going to get out of this? That's easy, I'll just tell him that I had to go to the bookstore or something.

All too soon, they'd finished their meal, Oliver paid the check, and they were walking out to his car. Chloe had his jacket covering her small frame shielding her from some of the rain. She stuck her hands in the pockets to keep them from getting wet.

"Ollie!" she cried out. "That is so gross." She pulled her hand back out. "I mean, really! You left some girl's underwear in your jacket pocket!" She didn't see the flash of panic on his face, because she was too busy pulling the offending garment out of the pocket - and recognizing it as her missing pair of green underwear.

He let out a strangled laugh. "I know it seems odd, but... I like green, I like lace and I like you." He shrugged after making his declaration, as if that somehow justified him stealing her underwear.

She couldn't be mad at him, but she wasn't going to let him know that. "We ARE going to Victoria's Secret, you ARE buying me more underwear and you WILL like it. Got it?!" She asked before she climbed in the passenger seat of the sports car.
