Omigosh, the same thing happened to me when I started driving stick shift... I stalled and started laughing and my dad was all, "WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT!?!?!?!?!?! YOU CAN RUIN THE CAR AND WE'LL DIE!!!!!!!!" at me and I was snorting and stuff... And the first time I left the church parking lot in a stick I got as far as the shell station before I burst into tears and hysterics....
your mom is teaching you to drive?!?lakingsanitySeptember 19 2006, 01:34:22 UTC
did you just leave your car at the treadway's last night? i love driving stick! its just soo much more fun. ive had to drive my dads accord for the past week or two, and its been horrible. for one, the radio is messed up. so ive been riding in silence at 6:30 in the morning= no fun. and two, its not a stick, which means i cant do anything fun.
well, it's better than some ppl do when learning how to drive. i read an article this summer about a girl who forgot where the brake was and accidentally ran over her mother
I hated the stick shift at first too, but like driving in general it all becomes second nature after a while. I am actually disoriented now when I drive the van because my brain is screaming, "What the heck! How is this working?! I'm not doing enough different things for this to be working!". That's what I get for driving the stick five times a week...
