It's sunday and that means another bunch of pictures!
But since literally nothing exciting happened, it's mainly a bunch of food pictures x'D...
So last week was my first week of uni at Tsukuba University. Went pretty alright, I'd say. I have six different language courses + one on the history of Japanese and one on Japanese didactics. Also, one seminar on practicing to hold a presentation, but I'm just audience in that one xD.
Other than that, there's the Baumkuchen Meeting (I shit you not, that's the actual name). It's every tuesday evening and all the German exchange students and all the Japanese students, who want to study in Germany, gather and talk. Then there's Omochi language club on friday evenings, which is basically a gathering of people who want to learn different languages. For about an hour, I teach some German to a couple students, and after that, they teach me Japanese. It's fun. And we usually go for dinner after the Baumkuchen and Omochi.
So, I guess I'm gonna split this post into two different parts. First the non-food pictures and second the food-pictures |D.
Okay, first, because Noi wanted a better look at the picture (it is still the only one ;-; ) on my wall:
This is slighty creepy and a little bit terrifying. This teddy guards a random field close to my dorm and idk... I am slightly worried xD.
Also this. This is a freaking epic tree. For some reason, I really love that tree. I mean, look at iiiiiit.
Same tree. So prettyyyy x3.
Some random halloween decoration. Almost every store here has something like that on display. Some are more creepy than others, tho xD. This one was mostly cute.
And the weather here is really, really nice (except for today, which was very rainy). This picture was taken on Friday before my lunch break. It's the lake right infront of the cafeteria.
To prove our pretty perfect weather xD.
Also remember that game I was talking about? Nekoatsume? Here's a screenshot. It's fsking cute. I mean LOOK AT THE MAID KITTY. Haw.
Okay, now let us move on to the more important part. The food.
I don't even know why I'm taking so many pictures of the food xDD. But whatever, here we go.
This, again, is curry rice from the cafeteria. Every day there is another special topping you can get, apparently. The first time was croquettes, this time (that was monday, I believe) it's fried prawn and last friday it was tonkatsu. TONKATSU. gawd.
Also, CCLemon, which will always be my substitute when there's no coke available. During my last semester abroad I drank so much CCLemon that everyone was always like "Hey, where's your cclemon?" or "Here she comes with the cclemon again" xD......
This was at a tonkatsu restaurant after the Baumkuchen meeting. I loooove tonkatsu. It's basically schnitzel, but better. This one was tonkatsu on rice with eggs on top.
And a sneaky picture of a friend's meal: classic tonkatsu menu. Looks so good, omg.
I've been living a lot on the food I bought from the konbini at our dorm. They basically sell prepared meals and they also heat them up for you. This one was rice with tempura. Doesn't look all that good but tasted alright xD.
And since it gets kind of expensive to just buy bentos from the konbini, I decided to make my own food! Mainly instant ramen, but hey, they're only 200yen a pop.
Luckily, I got a mini hot plate for free from a former exchange student. And I bought that tiny pot at the konbini for 600 yen. Läuft.
Here's what was inside the instant ramen cup.
Sauce, dried nori, dried piece of flesh, some greens and the noodles xD.
And this is how it turned out... well...
Went back to konbini food the next day, spaghetti carbonara xD.
So much food, gawd.
Anyways, tomorrow I'll be going to Tokyo again. Not all on my own this time, but with some new friends. We want to go to Asakusa and Ikebukuro again. And after that, we'll see. I'm fine with whatever, as long as I get to eat some crepe *w*.
