This kind of reminds me of a movie - I want to say it was a Wes Anderson movie - originally, it began with Bill Murray in the bathroom brushing his teeth, and a voiceover stating how many Americans accidentally swallow their toothbrushes each year. They had to cut the scene because swallowing the candy toothbrushs kept making him throw up.

I feel like I'm overthinking this because I've just spent several minutes trying to understand the logistics of making yourself vomit with a fork. Like, are you using the handle or the end with the tines? And, like, why is a fork preferable to sticking your finger down your throat?
And how in God's name do you accidentally swallow it?
This made me smile. My dad actually swallowed a mercury thermometer during a coughing fit. The doctor managed to fish it out of his stomach without opening him up!
