I've been reading a lot lately, and in doing so I've found that I'm very selfish. Or at least, I feel exceedingly so.

I'm in the middle of reading Into the Wild, which, as tragic (or spiritual, it depends on how you look at it) as Chris McCandless's story is, it has made me think about needs versus desires. Without trying to fall into that whole "I' ( Read more... )

okay that was a weird comment... i am super tired.
i meant, you're not thinking into it too much, and it's okay for books to change the way you think, in my opinion. i read stuff all the time and they change the way i think, in small ways or not so small ways, in temporary or permanent ways. so yeah ;)

haha, yeah! at first i was a little offended, but i get what you mean. and i do know that, but it was just a weirdly strong feeling i was getting from this book in particular. it was causing some major introspection! haha.

Your thoughts on Into The Wild reminds me of Grave of the Fireflies. Those poor kids lived on dead frogs and rice.
