So I was reading my lit book today and came across this quote that describes the kinds of attachments (family/romantic/friendships) people make:

I think that quote has its merits, but at the same time, I think that it would be much more applicable if it said that we choose to have relationships with people who can cope well in certain aspects of life. Every relationship that we have is symbiotic, each person brings to the table something that the people around them cannot, or they can't do it with as much skill. I think that quote has a feeling of inferiority that is not deserved. I think that we all find things about about ourselved and each other that are gonna stay with us for life. That's about all the insight that I have for that since I got interrupted and started this response 20 minutes ago. As for the other thing, this is probably old news for you, but keep yourself happy and watch out for #1. That also being said, I'm still making you party on thursday night ;)
