Thank you for sharing, brought back some memories of D&D with Chad way back when... I keep getting flashes of Chad here and there, dinners, parties, gatherings...
Thanks for sharing this. This weekend Helping Pawz is volunteering at the Chilliwack Hospice. It isn't necessarily a 'kids' event or organization but it was a personal desire for me to help with the group the last few years because my Grandmother was a hospice patient in her late stage of Alzheimers. Sorry about your friend. *hugs*
OMFG... I'd been reading about it on various friends' journals but no one mentioned that it was OUR Chad. OMG, we're in shock. Do you know when is the funeral? R. and I would like to be there, as we *were* friends before life moved us all in different directions. Email, SVP?
Very beautifully said, and I'm glad you had the opportunity to say good-bye. Its never easy watching someone you care about slowly be destroyed by something, and harder to have to be strong for those like their wives. I had a friend named Steve who died of AIDS and I wish I could have said good-bye as you did. No one actually even told me that he had passed. We too had drifted apart but even our mutual friends never told me for over a year.
