Bush has some of the lowest polls for a standing president since, well, his dad. Kerry does need to pick up the pace, but enough people are hating the Bush admin right now that you shouldn't worry. Look at this military prisoner bullshit! Unless he gets Saddam two days before the election, I doubt he'll win. Also, Michael Moore's documentary about how evil Bush is will be released close enough to the election that it'll get people pissed at Bush and not give him time to respond. So rest easy, my sweet.
yeah, I live in the South. But lets not forget, the South (and west)has all the electoral votes, not the North East, so if the South thinks that way, well, than thats a problem. And I havn't seen any recent polls, but I think the Dems have a horrible mantra with there "Anyone but Bush" motto. Clinton energized the party around him. He was also a moderate, who himself declared that "The era of big government is over." Kerry is by no means a moderate. He just seems like one compared to Dean. I dunno, I just dont see how a senator from MA is going to win states outside the north east. Gore was a southern candidate, and even HE didn't win any southern state..
Kerry's strong points:hardcorerockerMay 21 2004, 20:02:04 UTC
1. Anyone but Bush is a strong feeling right now, MUCH stronger than it was in 2000. 2. Kerry is much less offensive and odious to some as Al Gore was. Kerry may ride the fence a lot and say some silly things, but Gore struck me as a pompous asshole, so I was in favor of Bush in 2000, even despite preferring many of Gore's views.
