If you find yourself steering toward Asian foodses, the Albertson's at Malvern/Gilbert (the Target center) has tons of produce geared toward that. It's been a while since I've been there, so I can't name names, but I saw a ton of stuff I'd never seen in an American grocery before.
OK. Now I'm just laughing. We ARE totally leading parallel lives. The YL public library is my hubby's new hangout as well, and I've joined him more than a couple times, and I CHECKED OUT THAT PAULA ABDUL CD ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO. HAHAHAHAHA. We're totally raiding their cd collection to fill up our iPods as well!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!
But seriously--their collection of CDs at the YL Library is AWESOME. I'm an indie-girl, myself, and I'm SHOCKED at some of the things we find there. Alexi Murdoch?! WHAT?! They even have REALLY current CDs too. It's awesomely bizarre.
But that place IS awesome. I quite like it there, myself.
I love the library! Check out other branches too. Many of the Boston area libraries let you check out DVDs and some even have more unusual items that you can check out like framed prints and computer software. I still drive the hour down to Boston to get books and CDs and and DVDs from the library. Even with overdue fines, it's cheaper than going to the video store or book store or Used CD store.
