CHAPTER 12
“I swear to God, it was her!”
“But Taengoo, it was raining heavy!”
“I know it was! But… it was her! I can even… I can even saw her smiling at me!” Taeyeon slumped onto her bed and buried her face onto her pillow. “It was Tiffany! I know her too well to be mistaken!”
Sunny let out a sigh and bit her bottom lip. She didn’t know if she had to believe her or not- it was just that Taeyeon had so many weird premonitions and habits since Tiffany left the dorm and been missing like dead corpse. She even told Sunny that she saw Tiffany in their room. It scared her, even she knew well that Tiffany’s still alive-the innocent and blank look on her girlfriend’s face was enough to send her goosebumps though.
“You don’t believe me..?” Taeyeon looked up and sat beside the worried Sunny. She then frowned. “I swear I really saw her, Sunkyu. This time, I perfectly know it was her.”
“But Taengoo, this isn’t your first time,” Sunny caressed the older girl’s cheek while smiling weakly, apologetically.
“I know…” Taeyeon looked down.
“I know you missed her so much but-“
“Sunny-ah, please… just… believe me,” The older girl bit her inner cheek while her lips frowned and her eyes teared up. “I’ve had enough stress but yesterday… yesterday, I’m pretty sure it was really her, smiling at me outside our dorm.”
She looked at her girlfriend’s brown teary orbs and sighed. Wanting it or not, she had to believe it. Taeyeon might look so hopeless - or maybe too hopeless - but sure enough, the older girl never looked convincing. All Sunny could do was to give up.
“We’ll gonna find her soon then,” She smiled and hugged Taeyeon while sobbing silently. “We will.”
***
The brunette sneezed for the hundredth time already. Her nose turned red and the white on her eyes spoke of bloodshot. She drenched herself from last night’s rain and didn’t even bother to change her clothes with a new, dry one.
Tiffany covered her whole body as she snuggled on her bed, trembling. Her hot breath hit her face and the sweat trickled down her body. She sighed from her nostrils and looked up to her nightstand: 9.45am. She then closed her eyes as she ran her a hand onto her wet hair.
The image of Taecyeon- groping and taking advantage of her last night was still fresh in her mind-made her frown with anger. If she stayed with him for a little bit longer, she might be pregnant with his baby. Her ears perked up when she heard the door slamming open and closing-the beast was humming randomly.
Tiffany gulped, now or never. She watched the silhouette of his steps from below her door’s floor. Looking around and standing up, she made her way towards the window. She halted for a moment after hearing Taecyeon calling her name from behind the door.
“Ppany baby, come here and look what I brought for you,”
Tiffany tried to open the window and the voice of Taecyeon made her nervous. She groaned when the window won’t open. Panic! Taecyeon started to knock the door.
“Ppany honey?”
“Shit!” She cursed under her breath. “It’s Fany you stupid,”
The window creaked open a little and Tiffany smile. The cold breeze hit her whole body when she lifted it up fully. Tiffany saw freedom and her life outside, waiting for her but at the time she about to get out from her room, Taecyeon pushed the door open.
“What… the hell!”
***
“Call the police. Your uncle wants the 9 of you together,”
Sunny and Jessica watched manager oppa take his phone out from his jeans’ pocket then pointing at them with it.
“You girls may fail but the police won’t,” He pressed his phone onto his ears. “I don’t care if the public will know this. That Ok guy hit his limit already,” He gritted through his teeth.
Jessica lowered her head as she makes her way out of the building, leaving Sunny inside to have some talk with manager oppa. She embraced herself when the cold breeze hit her thin body. In times like this, she just missed Tiffany’s warmth.
The younger girl would always hug her from behind and bury her face onto Jessica’s neck while whispering random things which would make Jessica giggle. She bit her lip when she instantly felt the emptiness on her chest-growing wider by each passing second. She gave up on Tiffany, promised herself to move on and let Tiffany live happily with Taecyeon. But giving up and letting the one you loved so much to live happily with the other person wasn’t as easy as flicking through book pages.
“I miss you so much,” She whispered helplessly.
“But you said you don’t love me,” Jessica looked up onto the blue sky and closed her eyes, letting her heart release the emptiness she contained for the past weeks.
“Why didn’t you try? Why did you accept my confession in the first place?” The tears slowly flowed down her cheeks and she laughed hurtfully as she placed her palms onto her left chest, feeling the beat of her heart. “I know you’re still there, somewhere, because… my heart’s still beating,”
The auburn haired girl hung her head low and frowned deeply, she can’t hold it anymore, she missed Tiffany so much until she barely can’t see anything but her. This emptiness was a killer, killing her with every turn and reality of Tiffany being not there. Jessica lived her life for the younger girl, begging her to love her back.
Dramatic, right? But no, because it fed her, it nurtured her.
Sunny came out from inside the building and halted when she looked at the back of the sobbing Jessica. Slowly, she took the girl in her arms, caressing her auburn hair softly. She kissed Jessica’s temple before hugging her tighter.
Jessica would always be the one to suffer and break everytime and Sunny knows that. And Jessica, Jessica was just the perfect lover anybody and anyone could hope for. But then again, she just wanted Tiffany’s love which she knew Jessica wouldn’t be able to get.
Tiffany’s a good lover too, but she fell in love with the wrong person. Again, Sunny knows that. It pained Sunny to know that all she could do was too watch them and to wait for each of them to realize what was really there. But time hasn’t fixed anything right, at least not yet. She hoped for a happy ending for the both of them -if only it was just that easy.
“I c-can’t move… on, S-Sunny,” Jessica sobbed weakly onto her shoulder which made the short girl scowl and pull away from the hug. She stared onto Jessica’s eyes as her thumb wipe away the tears that was about to fall down her cheeks. She kissed the older girl’s forehead and smiled warmly.
“You’re a good lover. Don’t give up on her yet, Sica. She loves you, and that’s one of the reasons why she left you,”
If no one can make Jessica smile even for a while, it was lucky that Sunny just did it. Jessica curved her thin lips up for a mere second and Sunny smiled back at her. She tapped the auburn head playfully and locked her arm around Jessica’s as they make their way to the parking lot.

“Back off Taec!”
“You get back here first! NOW!!”
“NO! I won’t! Get back or…”
“Or what?”
“Or I’ll jump,”

“Yuri Unnie, I don’t think asking them would help,”
The twins walked groggily towards the 2PM waiting room. Yuri had been curious all the time. The fact that the boys didn’t know where Taecyeon was, or even where he was right now, was just the stupidest thing in the universe. Boys kept everything under their hands and they would know every little thing about one another. Sure thing, they might know where Taecyeon’s right now.
“I’m just curious, Yoong. They act like a mice lately; walking away when one of us tries to ask them, looking away when we look at them even in a not necessary way. Can you sense that?”
Right when Yoona was about to respond to Yuri’s words, Wooyoung dashed out from their waiting room and ran like lightning down the stairs - he didn’t even mind to used the elevator. Both of the girls looked at each other before turning their attention to the other boys in front of them. They eyed Nichkhun who gulped hard when he met their eyes.
“He is um… he needs to… p-pee?”
Yoona scoffed and Yuri smirked, they pushed the boys onto the waiting room and locked the door behind them-standing there like a boss with crossed hands and fierce eyes.
“Something’s quite not right about that Taecyeon, huh?”
“Where’s he?”
“Well, we don’t-“
“We won’t buy that piece of shit!” Yuri bent down and gripped Nichkhun’s collar, making him stand at the same level as her. “Just so you know, we already asked the police for help and the fact that you guys wouldn’t make this easy would also drag you to the jail,” Yuri let go of the grip before leaning against the wall. “You choose, we wait,”
Junsu looked over Nickhun and he sighed heavily. Being the elder meant harder responsibilities, especially if he makes mistakes with his decisions. He trusted Taecyeon like he trusted himself but as timg goes by, he just couldn’t do anything about the other’s changing behavior. He stressed out, and Taecyeon’s mistakes were just a little bit too far for him to cover, too hard for him to handle. He loosened his tie as he combed his hair with his fingers. He raised his hand and spoke. Yoona smirked, and Yuri patted his shoulder and thanked them before dashing out the room, looking for their leader and the other members.
***
Taeyeon was never this excited yet nervous and mad before. The information Yuri and Yoona gave her was such a hit that it made her want to punch everybody’s face. Sooyoung called the police hurriedly and Hyoyeon ran out from the room to find manager oppa. The kid leader stood up with hands in her head and phone between her grip. They finally found out where Tiffany was and knew that Taecyeon would do something crazy if they didn’t make any move as soon as possible.
The door flung open and Jessica was the first person to come in sight. Her breath was unstable and sweat dripped down her forehead - Yuri was sure enough that the older girl was running through the stairs to get over here. Jessica hugged Taeyeon immediately with a small smile with a trace of worry on her face, she looked over to Yoona and Yuri and gave them small pecks on the cheeks as a gratitude.
Manager oppa came with Hyoyeon behind him and Sooyoung right after them at the time Sunny wrapped her arms around Taeyeon’s nervous body.
“Let’s go find her,” was the words they really wanted to head at that time. Jessica was the first one who ran out the room right after manager oppa left. The anticipation on her face made the other member’s relaxed, a bit.

“We brought along the letter to arrest Mr. Ok Taecyeon by the charge of abducting Ms. Tiffany Hwang for about 3 months. We need your cooperation to complete out task in an easy and honored way,”
The middle aged men sighed heavily and he rested his back on the back seat.
“Please… feel at home,”
