It's like a little slice of heaven! Just gorgeous. When did you get to see it? I've been twice, both on road trips from Arizona to Minnesota where we detoured through Denver to visit a relative. It was the first completely green place we'd seen and I couldn't believe I'd never heard of it before. (we'd been going through Mesa Verde and Arches, both amazing in their own right)
We actually had car trouble in Sliverton, so after we got it fixed we drove around and eventually discovered Ouray. One day became 1 week and for about 3-4 years after that it became our vacation spot (we last went in about 04' and that's when we got our current dog from, Ouray, lol) They also have somewhat of a mount lemon in their town called Yankee Boy Basien, its so pretty! Mesa Verda was very awesome! I don't think I got a chance to see Arches though, what is that?
Its very sad though that people usually have no idea about Ouray, but in a way makes it more special and less tourist friendly.
Arches is beautiful. It's a national park where the rock has sandstone layers. When the rock erodes, the sandstone sediment stays fixed up in a natural loop like in this picture:

And I totally agree, in some ways its really nice that so few people no about Ouray, because it does keep it from becoming "tourist-y."
How are you doing, Hezz? Have you had your finals yet?
