Generations - A Poem

I wrote this 14 years ago around the time of my father’s death and thought I’d post it here in remembrance of David:

Generations

Generations move on through time, a train of humanity

Dropping off passengers, picking up new ones

The Old Ones, experienced and wise, leave behind their tales to be absorbed like

Thank you. It’s easier to think of him, as well as others before him, getting off at “that station” as our train moves on.
