Napoleon's Canadian family?

tinturtle told me that there are some fics out there which feature Napoleon's mother as being Québécoise and dancingpony suggested that I ask in this comm if anyone has links to fic where Napoleon has Canadian or French-Canadian family.

Unfortunately I can't point you to a specific fic at the moment, but stcrispins always writes Napoleon's family as French Canadian and it does come up in the background of a number of her stories.

I was curious as to where this came from. Solo as Canadian was apparently an early concept for the character that was not used in the show. The below is from Wikipedia:

Solo possesses a charm, sophistication, efficiency, and weakness for beautiful women comparable to James Bond's. But Solo is considerably less intense and also less brutal than the British Secret Service agent, and he possesses a laid-back ease that recalls the young Cary Grant. The show's original concept had Solo as a Canadian; but he is consistently American in the show.[1]

Yeah. I think the part where some part of his background is French-Canadian might come from Illya deploring his French accent.

Ah, Illya deploring Napoleon's French accent. Is that canon and I just don't recall the episode or is that fanon?

I only remember it being mentioned in passing. I don't recall any fics in which Napoleon's Canadian or French-Canadian family members actually show up as characters.

There's also this charming bit I remember from somewhere in which Napoleon is injured and Illya reads to him in French, because that is his "comfort language," but I haven't been able to locate the fic.
