I am a fan of the Days Inn around Church & Wellesley. The sushi restaurant right beside the place is excellent, and you cannot beat the breakfasts at Daybreak Diner around the corner. You can take the trolleys to the ACC from there.
Hotel we were at was spendy but nice, I think it was a Hyatt. Try and be nearish to Chinatown, find an obscure looking place and eat something tasty. :)
It's been over a decade since I last went to Toronto, so anything I'd even remember would be woefully out of date, restaurant-wise. If you like science centers, though, the Ontario Science Center in Toronto is a good one :)
As for the concert: I haven't seen Rammstein, but their opening act is Combichrist, and I have seen them live. If you're on the floor and not in a seat, you might want to make sure you move to the back before the show starts. Nothing against the band (they put on a good show), but their fans can get a bit rough...
Oh god no we're not on the floor. I'd die, no matter what kind of band it was - no standing for hours and hours, and trying to push back against people? With my back?
We have seats, a decent distance away but at least it's a seat, and only second row up from the bottom. I'm going to bring binoculars too, hopefully I'll be able to see the finer details :)
