As for Obama's policies, I'm not all that worried--he's going to be on lock from all the republicans and I doubt his (disastrous?) health care could even go through. The clintons were powerful and loved by all but they couldn't get their health care system in, so he doens't have a chance.

Moral of the story: obama = change nothing but give our country its dignity, andhopefuly its safety back. And we'll be the laughing stock of the world if McCain gets in.

Beautifully put. I'm contemplating putting that into my quotes section. You'd be up there with Michael J Fox and Hesse. It's quite an honor.

In synch with what Jimmy said I was gonna say, I think what a lot of people tend to forget is that things aren't going to do a complete 180 as soon as Obama gets into office, he doesn't have THAT much power as a president. It takes time for these policies to go through, and a lot of what he's proposing isn't going to go through because there are still a lot of republicans in congress and whatnot. So the idea that his proposed policy is going to send us into a deep recession is kind of silly, because its basically something he's just backing because he knows its what the people supporting him like (and he may himself truly support it), but he also knows that in reality its going to take a long time for everything he wants to actually go into effect, and by the time it does its going to be heavily altered anyway. Thats just politics ( ... )

Too true. But paying attention to 1 person is hard enough, you really expect the American people to worry about the whole Congress? Bah, it's not like this is a democracy in which the populace should strive for the best possible leadership in all chambers in hopes of creating a better country. Oh wait...
