I know I'm horrible with the not posting. Thanks for noticing Smidge! I've been missing you, too. I just feel my life is pretty dull usually, BUT, I finally feel I have something worth talking about!
In case anyone does not yet know their awesomeness, they're this big rock band in the UK. Yes, so I went to their concert with my bro Zach last night in Kansas City, and dude, THEY ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it, but I seriously think they are better live than on CD, and that's just plain incredible. Zach and I were basically in this huge crowd of standing people, jammed together oh-so-tight, and then there was jumping and pushing and shoving and pumping of fists in the air, and it was really hot, and we'd already been standing a long time, and I don't even want to go into the smells, but anyway, I totally BLACKED OUT/FAINTED, whatever you want to call it. Luckily, I nudged Zach, who was in front of me, and told him I was feeling sick before it happened. It was just like, my heart was beating so hard, and I almost threw up, and I felt awful, but I so didn't want to leave, of course. Anyway, Zach says, "Do you want to go?" And the last thing I remember is saying, "Yeah," and then I blacked out. I came to, and it was like, I could just feel my shirt riding up, and me being pulled against this wall of people by my armpits. Anyway, a security guy eventually started helping Zach, and after like a minute, I came to. Unfortunately, I went to get water then (dehydrated and overheated), and I missed the beginning of STOCKHOLM SYNDROME, which is ever so unfortunate. I basically missed all the verses, except I could kind of hear the first as we were going. I so wish I'd stayed for it, though. Still, though, Matt Bellamy looked FANTASTIC, and OH SOOOOO COOL! And his voice is just AMAZING! And of course the music, WOW, I just LOVED IT SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And him saying "Thank you, Kansas City!" in that English accent at the end! :Sigh: I'm already wishing I could go to another of their concerts. Dude, it ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ooh, ooh, and Zach and I saw the drummer from a distance over this wall sitting out back of the venue near the two tourbuses, which was also super cool, before the show. Aw man, it was just so fantastic!!!!!!!!! I NEED to go to more concerts. And anyone who does not yet know the awesomeness of Muse needs to find out now. Get their CDs: "Showbiz", "Origin of Symmetry", "Absolution", and "Black Holes and Revelations". If you don't like them, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and I think my favorite songs at the concert were probably "Supermassive Black Hole" and "Starlight", their first two singles off "Black Holes and Revelations" (their newest CD). And everyone cheering "SUPERMASSIVE BLACK HOLE!" was so great! Of course, "Hysteria" and "Time Is Running Out" probably would be next on my list. And then of course, "Apocalyse Now" was awesome... And oh, I so love "Map of the Problematique"... Well, I could go on, but yeah, they just rocked the house. They mostly played fast songs. I do wish they'd done "Falling Away With You", "Feeling Good", and "Bliss". Anyway, I'm not going to try to list everything they played. It'd take awhile. Dude, the vibe and sound was just SO AWESOME! They have such FANTASTIC songs! Of course, I can't expect them to do all the ones I love from 4 CDs. Dude, I can't stop talking about how great it was!!!
