So, work is really going to suck this summer if more applications don't come in. 4 lifeguards is not enough to cover all shifts. If you need a JOB, and i know many do, apply at camp dearborn they are hiring all positions, starting at $8.00 a hour.

I worked at Camp D last summer and we never had anything more serious than a bloody nose, the pool isn't that big, much smaller than OV and we have a pretty good time there. For re-certification I would call American Red Cross, they do the "lifeguard challenge" which is a one day re-certification course, I did it a month ago, it was pretty easy..... outdoor . $75 through red cross, it may be cheaper if you take it with YMCA, but I am not %100 sure.
