I got this in a fortune cookie: The smart thing to do is not be yourself.

I suppose the cookie has a point.

Have you seen Aladdin?

I like to get all my cliche's from credible sources, like Disney movies.

SO. As the Genie in Aladdin says...

Beeeeeeeeee yourself!

Thus ends Katie's after school special.

I'm reminded of a quote from The Simpsons. Homer claimed that he had to commit adultery because a fortune cookie said so.

Mindy: Well, desserts aren't always right.
Homer: But they're so sweet!

Haha, I remember that episode! And then you see Homer kissing a woman and he turns her around and it's Marge, *happy sigh* and faithful husbands are rewarded with the marriage bed. Yay!

Wow, I need help. Sorry.

My roommate and I just had a discussion about being yourself. Okay, so maybe it was me talking about it. My sister hides who she is because she is embarrassed. But I'd rather people think of me as strange then hide myself.

unless you are a serial rapist. Then maybe I wouldn't want you to be yourself.

Does your sister have a reason to feel embarrassed?

How do you know who she is if she hides it? Or does she not hide it well? Maybe that's what she's embarrassed about; not being able to hide well.

Perhaps your cookies were meant for someone else. Or maybe they're like mine, and never come true. So maybe you *are* being yourself, and we're worried over nothing!

That's the hope, anyway.

I guess I was the only one who found the cookie funny.

I am impressed at its creativity. I get tired of them trying to guess my "lucky days."

Really? I think that Fortune Cookies are always right. They are preordained and whole truth.

Anyone who questions them, or the "lucky days" is questioning the unquestionable.

Duh.
