I do miss my Seattle peeps quite a bit. And Bill and Dan, I think of you very often.

Happy Birthday to danthered. I also know that bitterlawngnome's birthday is around now but, my memory being what it is, I really rely on FB and LJ to give me birthdays and I don't remember seeing a notice from LJ. I hope you both have/had amazing birthdays and a great year. <3 <3 <3

W'thanks, M! I love this collection of photos. Bill's birthday was the 12th; we were in a gross suburb of Detroit for it because "Honey, we're going to be in Detroit for your 50th birthday" was (marginally) less unacceptable than "Honey, I'm going to be in Detroit for your 50th birthday".

We miss you out here, y'know that?

Mostly not Detroit proper, but a gross sprawling wannabe-nouveau-riche suburb 40 miles North. Pretty much the same grey awfulness as the rest of the Detroit sprawl, but with a thin, tacky veneer of money sprayed on everything. Detroit itself, though in some ways not quite so bad as it has been, is fuckin' awful in far too many ways to be countervailed.
