Day Two
Day Two started off very weirdly - the BDO is held at Olympic stadium, it took ages to get there so we missed The Grates as they were on super early - like 10.30am or something crazy like that. When you walked in you had to and this is no exaggeration, walk through a line of about 100 Coppers all with sniffer dogs (which you found out later some were only pretend - were bomb dogs not sniffer dogs). It then took about 20mins to get in the gates, when will they work out a 10m doorway is not big enough for 55,000 people to get through.
The big day out was good. The White stripes were in a much much better form. Jack was awesome and Meg was just so damn cute. Bit By Bats rocked and so did Peabody - but as I have had a drunken incident with the singer I was way back where you couldn’t see me (yes my red red hair and yellow dress make me very hard to see :p)

What happened after the BDO is way more exciting then the actual gig. We ended up at The Basement where Modular were having an Australia Day celebration. The boys from Wolfmother, Cut Copy and The Presets were all doing DJ sets and it ended up almost like the unofficial after party of the Big Day Out..
The people we met: Nick from Franz Ferdidnand, Myles and Chris from Wolfmother, Miles from Cut Copy, Kim from The Presets, Bernald Flanning from Powerderfinger (ok his name is Bernard Fanning but he is a wanka and I can’t stand him. Used to love the band but he has ruined it for me - no it isn’t a sign of the tall poppy syndrome. With some many famous people out only ONE refused to have his photo taken with us. Yes apparently being in a pub and not in a VIP room means it isn’t the time or the place to get your photo taken with your fans, lucky he didn’t I suppose as we were all going to give the camera a finger if he did!!!)
Soulwax/TwomanyDJ’s I didn’t even realise who these boys were they were so nice and funny….
Andrew G (he does Australian Idol) he went to my boyfriend’s school and my boyfriend hates him. But he was a good sport even though I did “You’ve got NOTHIN” to him…
