10th Planet or Slayer of the King of the Dead

It sees that as of August 24th Eris has momentarily demoted Pluto from Planet to Dwarf Planet, because once again, people don't want to let her into the Planet party.  Well I for one am rooting for Pluto to come back in and I hope that Eris comes back in with him.

Pluto hasn't been demoted, he's been revealed. It's all in Eris's plan anyway. :)

I agree with mythologist Roxanna Bikadoroff, who says there's poetic justice in calling Pluto a dwarf planet. In fairy tales, dwarves are often magicians who possess hidden storehouses of riches and act as agents of creative transformation. They typically live beneath bridges, which are symbols of transitional thresholds, and are masters of in-between states. They bestow blessings on anyone who is able to pass their demanding tests. -link

That sounds far more like Eris than anything else I've read about Pluto.

I think it's all because no one wanted a planet named Xena. I agree, I'd much rather have a Caprica and thusly a hot Starbuck then a Xena and a dude Starbuck.

But now PLuto is a dwarf planet, and make sure you use that terminolgy, calling it a midget planet just isn't very PC. Hell, it's not even Mac.
