Plans definitely has some good tracks, but it's no Transatlanticism.

I would split the two Bright Eyes albums, and put "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning" on the list and I would knock "Digital Ash" down to the "hoping for better" pile.

Damian Marley was such a pleasant surprise for me.

I was wondering how Blackalicious was going to top Blazing Arrow, but they didn't even try. They went in a completely different direction, and I love it.

Big ups to Kanye, White Stripes, and Gorrilaz.

You really thought the new NIN/Coldplay albums were that good?

Finally, where's The Arcade Fire? Or did that come out last year, and I just didn't find it until this year?

Marley was a total surprise, I wasn't expecting to like it AT ALL.

Arcade Fire came out at the end of '04. It is awesome, though. And yeah, the new Nails is fucking awesome, in my opinion.

it's fucking amazing, worlds better than the previous release. It almost feels like the score to a film; it's very deliberate in its pacing and track placement, which is refreshing.
