Fun Night

So that was a pretty fun night. Director of the local art gallery came to me and asked me to volunteer at the Midsummers Eve of the Arts, this big huge "Art Auction to benefit the Gallery" thing that has like a $50 entry fee and auctions off things at averages of $300 - $3000. So pretty much I was with the silent auction crew, set things up,

Man, now if only every night random people kept putting free random gourmet delicacies and exotic random liquors into my hands... well, I'd be dead in a week. But what a week!

Looking into it - apparantly the way it works, people show up, give the tour guy like $10 each, the museum gets like a 30% or 40% cut. Still, the tour is only about three hours if things go slow, and if only five people show up, even a 40% cut leaves me with about $30 - and there've been upwards of 20 people for those things; wouldn't be a full-time thing, but would be a hell of a nice bonus for three hours extra work every week.
