Wow. Amelia's THREE ALREADY!?! Dude.

I'm currently rereading The Secret History by Donna Tartt (gods, I adore this book), and reading The Blessing of a Skinned Knee by Wendy Mogel.... Interesting. It seems that I share at least a few beliefs in common with Jewish people... not all, certainly, but there's some good stuff in here.

Be warned, I'm not too far into Blessing of a Skinned Knee, and I can tell you now there are things you'll have issues with. They're not exactly ATTACHMENT parents.... but I'm all about gathering different opinions and picking and choosing among them.

anything that is nonfiction is going into a "wait for later" list anyhow. :) but the other book is on the shelf of the local library and will be fetched tomorrow.

Everytime I see a "Walter the Farting Dog" book come back in to the library, I put it out on display. I can't help it!

Yeah, I didn't quite get the "soccer mom" connection in that Robyn Harding book either.

I know people use "soccer mom" to mean "stay-at-home mom who chauffeurs her kids everywhere", but the literal in me gets frustrated by it.

We have to interlibrary loan the Walter books, but it's worth it! Someday we'll have to buy them.

Also, did you read the Walter book about the yard sale? That was a scream.

#12 was quite good - similar stuff to the other 11 books, but not quite as much sex. I love her books and laugh so hard at them, it's great.

The yard sale was the last one we got - this one is on a cruise! ooooh. :)

Well, hey, I bought that item for Sammy for Christmas. She opened it up, took all the magnets out and stuck them to the fridge and then never looked at it again. I gathered all the pieces up and it is in absolute mint condition -- I was gonna sell it at a consignment sale. Should I sent it to A for her birthday instead? :)
