I've been wondering, now that Michael Jackson is dead, does that mean Paul McCartney gets his songs back?

No, they are owned by corporation that Jackson owned. Now the corp owns them

They do not automatically revert, I'm afraid. Despite the rumors, Michael did not return the rights to Paul in his will. The publishing rights of the Beatles songs (and the rest of Associated Television's portfolio) will be a part of his estate until otherwise handled by the folks managing it. Chances are fairly likely they're going to sell the rights off again (which is how Michael got them in the first place) in order to help pay off the estate's debts.

I may be wrong, and someone correct me if I am, as I'm interested as well.

Oh, I KNEW the song rights went to the estate and all that, I mean I kind figuered - I was just making a funny. I did NOT, however, know that there were any rumors about the song writes reverting back to Ringo or Paul.
