How are you guys? Is everything OK with you all?!

I'm sorry for not updating sooner but these two weeks have been way too intense...

So what do I have tell?!

As everyone knows, I have gone to University this year. Oh boy, how exciting! I'm still staying at my parents' house, to reduce a bit the expenses every month, specially because I'm in a private ( Read more... )

i am a freshman too this year. it's interesting to read about all these school stuff and compare with our school-system. :)
in one course we have to work in groups too. i thought it would be like hell! because majority of the group are boys so i couldn't imagine them working. but but, when i showed that i am NOT going to be the one who does everything, they finally activated their brains. yay! :)

yeah, for me, friends come first too. and it's so stupid when your friends have another opinion and choose dating instead. x-/

Lucky you, my group must be waiting for Jesus Christ to return, because nothing is being done...why me, why me?!

Yeah, boys usually are lazier but sometimes they surprise us...

I'm glad we agree. After all, guys are temporary but true best friends last for an eternity!

By the way, how is it in your University?!

I have to work in groups for the first time in my Uni life... the weird thing is that in the two classes I need to work in groups are the ones I barely know anyone: in American Anthropology I know a weird American girl (she almost freaked out when I kissed a friend on the cheek... hello? we are in Chile, we do this all the time unless it is a really formal situation and you don't know the person at all, oh and she told me she's not looking forward to her graduation because she and her family don't go to those parties) who barely speaks Spanish, and I wish I could work with someone that could help me keep focused on task because that class is too boring for me; and in Italian History, I know a girl from my Medieval Hist class, but it seems she already knows a lot of people there ( ... )

"I know a weird American girl (she almost freaked out when I kissed a friend on the cheek." Honestly, I have heard about the American concept of personal space but it's one kiss on the cheek! Well, different cultures and all...

"she told me she's not looking forward to her graduation because she and her family don't go to those parties" Hum?! Okay.

Well, as I'm in a private university so, the hazing is soft, not like those examples that you described, it's mostly based in not looking at them directly when you're being hazed, and obeying their orders. Oh, and singing some songs that I might post here...that are lolastically!

I guess that for those who like that sort of relationship, it's great but it gets a bit tiring, I'm not willing to give up my social life and they just have to face it. I guess you feel the same...we're just too independent to be in a relationship so absorbing.

it depends on the group if i like group work haha. I hate when I get into a group and do most of the work, and when that happens I definately make it known on evals!

I hate group work, I prefer working alone. I'm a bit of a perfecionist and demanding when it comes to school work, but twhat's odd is that when it comes to personal relationships I'm not that difficult. I'll try to work with them, if not, I can always request to work alone.
