Josh: OMG! It's SNOWING! SWEET!

Me: I'm gonna see this almost every fuckin' day during the winter season when I move to Erie...shutup.

Though I must admit, it'll be nice to have a white Christmas this year. We rarely get that down here in Virginia. And I enjoy making snowmen and sledding down the kick-ass hill in my backyard (provided I don't land ( Read more... )

Aw, I'm sorry that happened. But I'm happy your grades are good!

As for moving--I really think the best thing to do is to come up for a few days BEFORE hauling all your stuff up here, and shopping around for an apartment. Online listings barely have any information and there are hundreds of places to live up here that are just... not recorded anywhere.

But if you really really can't make it up here for a short time, then let me amass a few friends to come with me, before you leave, so we can get you a nice location and a number to call so you can speak to them about pricing and whatnot. Either way, looking for the right place is important, especially if you're not certain you'll have a car. (In my neighborhood, you can pretty much walk wherever you need to--including to a few hospitals and pharmacies.) I especially don't want you to pay $500 for a shitty place when you could be in a decent place for $300... or something like that. :)

Yeah...it's a bit of a bummer having to turn down someone like that, but there are plenty of cuter girls in Lynchburg than little 'ol me, so he won't be totally shipwrecked. lol ( ... )

Check Craigslist.com for Erie PA and look at the apartments listings. But do it right before you drive up to Erie, because those are recent listings, which I think might be better than what Rent.com has. I'll search around. So far I've found a lot of bad apartments to avoid... and that's it. I'll check out the apartments in my neighborhood soon, since they're within walking distance. :3
